Is BINI's Treat To Their BL♾MS Better Than a Comeback?

Updated: Sep 22, 2022

The BLOOMs might be patiently waiting for their idols' comeback, but that doesn't mean they are bored. P-Pop girl group BINI is busy keeping their fans entertained, this time with a new music video for one of the songs from their debut album, Born to Win. It's been a long wait for the music video for 'Na Na Na,' which was released with the album in October 2021, but BINI has made up for it in spades. Let's check out the new 'Na Na Na' music video.

A Bubblegum Pop Anthem

BINI is no stranger to bubblegum pop, and this is an excellent example of the genre.

It may not be the first time we've heard 'Na Na Na,' but that doesn't take any value away from this bouncy and catchy song. BINI is no stranger to bubblegum pop, and this is an excellent example of the genre. Its catchy, almost addictive sound and optimistic lyrics make it a perfect match for the technicolor music video it's paired with. Of course, there's not a single weak vocalist among the girls of BINI, but we found that the rap line really stood out in this video. Rappers Mikha, Stacey, Jhoanna, and Gwen form the rap line for the bridge in 'Na Na Na,' which provides contrast for the upbeat and cheerful song.

The Ultimate BINI BLOOM

The real treat of the music video comes with its storyline.

The music video sets up the BINI girls in high school. This seems to be a trend among P-Pop artists lately, with BGYO, SB19, Press Hit Play, and ALAMAT all producing content based on a school theme. It's an excellent choice for BINI, who are portrayed as different high school archetypes. The looks range from the socialite to the musician, supermodel, athlete, bookworm, cheerleader, the sweet girl, and the cool girl. The ladies of BINI might be portraying different types, but a unified theme and color palette helps it all look cohesive. All of it comes together to support the song, which is just what a great music video should do.

The real treat of the music video comes with its storyline. BINI are the supporting characters here, with the stars being Star Magic Slaymate Sharina and BLOOM Dale. Dale Montaniel was the lucky BLOOM who won BINI's online campaign to win the chance to be featured as the Ultimate BINI BLOOM. He's definitely highlighted in 'Na Na Na,' where he and Sharina play out a sweet, kilig romance on the small screen. BLOOM Dale plays the role of the sweet but shy high school boy who dreams of being with Slaymate Sharina. So, where are the girls of BINI? They are playing the supportive classmates who are cheering for the budding romance each step of the way.

Celebrating P-Pop Fandoms

It's not just a music video; it's a unique project done for their fans to appreciate and show their love for them.

When all is said and done, 'Na Na Na' is a sweet and charming music video that has been months in the making. It's not just a music video; it's a unique project done for their fans to appreciate and show their love for them. It represents a movement amongst P-Pop groups toward creating music and videos that celebrate their special bond with their fandoms. It's not a comeback, but it's something special, and we can wait - for a while - for that comeback.
