What Happens When Big Brands Back the Kings of P-Pop

Updated: Sep 22, 2022

P-Pop group SB19 is good at a lot of things - that’s probably why they call them the Kings of P-Pop. They seem to excel in every area, from vocal and rap mastery to freeze-frame perfect choreography. Considering all this, it’s no surprise that Pablo, Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin are also pros at winning over sponsors with the same ease that they win over their fans. Looking for proof? Check out the 4 new sponsored music videos and songs the Kings have been working on.

'Make It Great!' with Ninang Huttie

It’s also been an overwhelmingly positive experience for A’tin

SB19’s collaboration with Pizza Philippines might be one of their biggest sponsorships to date. The boys were welcomed to the press conference that announced their partnership as guests of honor, red carpet, and all. The company’s CEO, Jorge Araneta, recalled that he’d wanted to partner with the group since hearing about them selling out virtual concerts during the pandemic. It’s also been an overwhelmingly positive experience for A’tin (fans of SB19), who fondly refer to the company as “Ninang Huttie (Godmother Huttie)” and throw their full support behind the brand.

‘Make It Great!’ is the first step in their newest sponsorship. This high-quality music video featured the members in custom Pizza Hut costumes and preparing pizzas while performing and was also used as the company’s latest ad campaign. Of course, don’t be surprised if the melody and choreography sound a bit familiar. For their first collaboration, SB19 has borrowed the melody and choreography of their redemption song, ‘Go Up.’ It makes for a fun and nostalgic introduction, especially for casual fans and new viewers meeting the Kings of P-Pop for the first time.

SB19 Makes Their Green Mark with Acer Philippines

As part of their new eco-friendly Vero series laptops promotion, Acer has been focusing on sustainable living with their new #MakeYourGreenMark campaign. This global campaign is all about reminding us to protect our planet. With their strong international appeal combined with the philanthropy of both the boys and their fandom, it’s no surprise that Acer Philippines turned to SB19.

The beaches of Palawan are a beautiful sight, reminding us all why the Philippines must be preserved.

It’s not the first time that SB19 has worked with Acer. They first began their sponsorship with the ‘Live It Up’ music video, which was released in 2021 - just in time for the holidays. Like its predecessor, ‘#MakeYourGreenMark’ is an upbeat song that’s brimming with positivity. It’s no surprise - no one is more versatile when writing and composing than Pablo and his brother, Josue. The music video is filmed largely in the studio with cuts to the boys on the island of Palawan, where they filmed during their “working vacation.” The beaches of Palawan are a beautiful sight, reminding us all why the Philippines must be preserved.

Ready Set G! With the Fierce Style of Mahalima

All in all, SB19 are proving once again that they are the perfect brand ambassadors.

SB19’s latest collaboration with GCash came out of nowhere. In fact, their original collaboration sorta came out of nowhere too. Their first collaboration was a sweet Christmas-themed song and music video that dropped in a flurry of new videos for the P-Pop Kings. It’s a repeat of that same pattern this time, as SB19 are the endorsers for GCash’s newest product: GCash Jr. With a lyric video, short ad (featuring their choreography), and a Spotify release, there is nothing better than the way SB19 works with their brands to time releases to build hype.

‘Ready, Set, G!’ is the perfect track for its audience. With the new product geared toward youth under 17 years old, it’s no wonder they wanted SB19 to perform the single. It’s upbeat, optimistic, and catchy. Their stylist has also done his magic again, dressing the boys in edgy but relatable graffiti-inspired outfits. All in all, SB19 are proving once again that they are the perfect brand ambassadors.

SB19 Combo Craze Lets Fans Order their Faves

It’s another short but sweet (literally) promo for SB19 with their longtime sponsor, Dunkin’ PH. It’s been more than a minute since they’ve worked with Dunkin’ PH, with the last project being their sponsored concert in April, which was a long time coming. Before that, they’d previously worked with them for several original signs and ads, including their collaboration with AC Bonifacio for ‘The One.’

[...] this promo is proof positive that (even with a 1-minute video) SB19 are worth their weight in gold.

For their new project, they use a basic rap track to promote Dunkin’s latest deal, the Combo Craze, which creates combo meals named after each member. We don’t need to tell you that this is going over well with their fans, A’tin. From the moment the promo launched, Twitter was awash with pictures, videos, and anecdotes about stores already selling out of the product. Like many under Dunkin’ PH, this promo is proof positive that (even with a 1-minute video) SB19 are worth their weight in gold.
